Established by a reclusive genius, Grimal, who dynamited the cap rock and built concrete walls to design a labyrinth of raised garden beds and fresh waterways starting in the 1950s. Under the current owner's dedication, Patrick Garvey, the grove now boasts the first and only Breadfruit grove in the continental United States, which is home to Mutiny Island Vodka's Grimal Grove Reserve.
