Q:
Does the hotel allow marina guests in the pool? A few hotels downtown allow bar patrons in the pool and they get crowded
A:
Yes- we stayed on a boat in the marina and was able to use the pool and eat at the bar. But now that they have 2 pools it isn't really too crowded
Tara S.1 month ago 1 person found this helpfulQ:
Can you walk to other restaurants (Hogfish) from The Perry?
A:
More than a walk than I'm willing to take. They have a shuttle that takes you to the Duval area

What a beautiful hotel! Located in stock island just before key west. Far away from the crowd, but close enough to get to all of the destinations. Thankfully, we found this hotel after our Airbnb was canceled last minute. With most other hotels booked for same day check in in Key West during spring break , they were able to accommodate our family with two nights and the third in a different room. I was perfectly fine with that.
The backyard is largest marina in the south, with deep clear water it makes for a sight to see on our morning walks. There are 2 restaurants on site , a bar and game area with shuffle board, monopoly, chess, and much more . Shuttle runs every hour to key west. We ate brunch at Matt's stock island kitchen all 3 days and it was delectable, prices are higher and tips are automatically included , but service was outstanding so no complaints there.
The rooms itself are clean and spacious . Our first 2 nights we had a King suite with sofa pullout bed , bathroom has large walk in shower with upgraded delta faucets. The 2 queen beds room is a bit smaller in sq footage , but the outdoor patio space with dining table and rinsing station makes up for it. Water pressure in the showers are strong which makes a big difference with outdoors activities all day. Beds are comfortable pillow could be a tad softer . Pool is advertised as heated , we didn't get to use the pool on this trip but it was always clean and not crowded. Only Downside is the Wi-Fi does not work very well here. We cannot connect to the kids iPad or Alexa devices for those downtime moments. Some of my calls were dropped as well l
Overall we had an enjoyable experience and would return for our annual trip . After the stressful Airbnb cancellation which left us homeless while on vacation, I would never use it again. Our room number was my daughters birthday, 307, the reason we were traveling here , so no doubt this all worked out and someone from above is blessing us.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - ElenaRose E.Stock Island, FL031Feb 28, 2024
Our stay has been exquisite! We originally booked for 2 rooms with queens for 5 guests. But they had an issue with preparing one of the rooms so they gave us 3 king beds with no charge difference!
Food: Delicious!
Drinks: Fresh juice and great cocktails!
Atmosphere: Beautiful and clean!
Staff: Very friendly!
Rooms: Large and spacious for chilling in or outside on balcony!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 17, 2024
You would never know this is one of the most beautiful hotels in the Keys as it's nestled and hidden within an industrial part of town down at the end of "Shrimp road". The hotel lobby is an inviting space with several games for families to play including shuffle board, chess, and dice. It leads to a bar area and restaurant, Matt's stock island, which is a must to eat at even if you're not staying at the hotel. Grab brunch here and order the southern Benedict, poached eggs with bacon on fried green tomatoes and a biscuit. Yum! The restaurant overlooks the pool and marina.
The hotel is beautifully decorated and all the employees are very friendly. Sarah is one of the sweetest front desk attendants you'll meet there. The surrounding area has other great places to eat at that area, all within walking distance of the hotel, including Little Dippers, a cute little Cafe to grab gelato!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 4, 2024
What a beautiful resort! Rooms are updated, clean and large. Our view was of the marina. I cannot stress enough how great the shower is! Very large with a nice ledge you can sit on. Bed is comfortable and plenty of room to spread out.
Quite a few restaurants on resort. Only negative is no coffee in the lobby. You have to order at restaurants or down block at coffee shop which only has one person working and a very long wait.
Great location and dog friendly! This will be our new go to place on the island.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Steve C.Detroit, MI02538Mar 8, 2024
Been coming here since 2018 and it's had its ups and downs. One down was an oyster Covid casualty, there were no oysters at the Salty Oyster in 2021? I told them they needed to change the name or change the price.... This year in 2024 the rooms are beginning to show their age, the cost has skyrocketed and the property desperately needs a refresh. Would have been 5 stars in 2018 but no longer. Apparently the property has been sold and has a sister resort property called Oceans Edge not far away, we went there and checked it out, looks way better. If you like being a little away from the bustle of Duval St and enjoy the quiet calm it's become just OK, but view and location are great. Eaten by bugs poolside and on the balcony, likely not coming back the spring breakers have taken over.

The best hotel experience! You may think you want to stay near the beach but this is the place you need to be! You are away from the business of the tourism here, from the time we checked in to when we left.. a quiet tranquil experience.. the pool was very nice, warm temperature in the evening, and cool in the afternoon! The room was modern elegance and exceptionally clean! The view we had was beautiful and we upgraded to a lower level room and we're able to walk out to the pool!
They have a restaurant on site that is phenomenal for breakfast and an outside bar area that also serves food!
We walked the marina during the morning before going to the downtown Key West area!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Tara S.Plainfield, IN2010945Feb 27, 2024
This is our favorite place to stay near key west. We have been coming here since 2018 and boys had it changed- but only for the better. Love the pool (now 2 of them), great bar poolside plus restaurants outside of each pool and walking around looking at the boats at the marina. There is a coffee shop right near. We opt to walk to the little French bakery that is about 10 min walk away. Usually snack/eat at the bar. A good happy hour. Rooms are always clean. Service is above average. Shuttle to key west, bikes and mopeds on site. Recently they started charging for parking on site which I think is ridiculous. For me that is the only negative

Amazing customer service!!!
Thank you, Katrina and Chris (manager), for your kindness! It has been somewhat of a stressful time, and because of the kindness received by both of them (including other members of their staff), they have truly made my day!
I highly recommend staying at The Perry Hotel for high value customer service!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - C L.CAMPBELLSVLLE, KY01651Dec 1, 2023
My husband and I loved our room We were on the third floor overlooking the pool and marina. The room was clean, the beds and pillows were incredible--in fact it's the first time I've slept without neck pain in months! Housekeeping and desk clerks were very friendly. We really enjoyed being so close to the marina and having the ability to walk around and look at the boats. The only downside was the shower. It had a mind of its own, often changing water temps and pressure. Ladies, it's also a horrible shower for shaving legs.

Great place to stay. Food is some of the best in the Keys! Good access to Key West and other parts Keys. Always treated wonderfully!
